Aleksei Sokolov

The new book on the artist Aleksei Sokolov was published several years after the artist’s death, but had been in progress since before then. In both English and Russian, it includes a section written by Sokolov himself detailing his life, education, and artistic growth, as well as a section by Natalia Popova which discusses the artworks themselves. The book is a wonderful addition to the library of any collector of Sokolov’s work or indeed anyone interested in Russian art in general.
