Viktor Petrovich Zhurakovski was born in Harbin, Manchuria in 1928. He studied at the Odessa Art College from 1952 to 1955. He began exhibiting his work in 1954, specializing in landscapes. He is also known for being a book artist, especially during the 1950s.
He lives and works in Odessa, Ukraine.
