Yevgen Fedorovich Zherdzitsky was born October 19, 1928 in the Rostov province of Russia. He began studies at the Khakov Art Institute (Ukraine) in 1954 under masters S. Besedin, O. Kokel, and S. Prokhorov. He became a member of the Ukrainian Artists’ Union in 1958. He became a professor of painting at the Kharkov Art Institute in 1990, and a Merited Active Ukrainian Artist in 1993.
