Tabakova, Elena Ilinichna

Elena Ilinichna Tabakova was born in 1919 in Tver. She studied at the Leningrad Intermediate Art School in the late 1930s and at the Repin Institute in the 1940s. She is married to well-known artist Vasili Sokolov, and they live and work in St. Petersburg.

Important shows include:

  • “All-Union Art Exhibition”; Moscow, 1951 and 1955.

Well-known works include:

  • “The Rest Period (News of the Day)”, 1951; Academy of Arts Museum, St. Petersburg.

Her works have been published in various books and journals, including:
