Evgeni Vasilievich Solovyev was born in Kuplyanka in the Moscow Region in 1931. He attended the Leningrad Art College and then studied at the Repin Institute of Art from 1953 to 1959 in the studio of professor I.A. Serebryanny. He became a member of the Artists’ Union of the USSR in 1962. He holds the prestigeous title “Honored Artist of Russia”. He has shown his works in regional, zonal, republican, All-Union and international exhibitions since 1959.
Important shows include “Soviet Russia” in Moscow, 1960.
His works can be found in the Tambov Regional Art Museum. Solovyev lives and works in city of Tambov.
