Shpakovsky, Mikhail Vladimirovich

Mikhail Vladimirovich Shpakovsky was born January 25, 1974 in Voronehz. He began studying imitative arts under the supervision of his father, artist and dean of painting at the Voronezh Academy of Art, Vladimir Evgenovich Shpakovsky. He never went to a special art high school.

In 1991 he began studying at an art school in Voronezh and graduated with honors in 1995.

He has taken part in different town and regional exhibits since 1997. He also participated in an exhibition in Belgrade in honor of the 50th anniversary of World War II.

Presently he is finishing up his education at the Academy of Arts in Voronezh.

He enjoys portrature, landscsape, and still life. He belived the work of the artist is to think and feel. He feels an artist should be honest in his work before his spectators.

He is inspired by the Russian artist Surikov and the still life painter, Mashkov. The American artist Rockwell Kent is also an inspiration.

His works have been published in various books and journals, including:
