Aleksei Maksimovich Oryabinsky was born in 1930 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). He studied at the Kiev Art Institute until 1958 and in the creative studios of the USSR Academy of Arts in Kiev until 1965. He lives and works in Kiev, Ukraine.
