Yevgeni Yurievich Lyapin was born in the city of Kotovsk of the Tambov region in 1929. He graduated from the Savitski Penza Art School in 1957. He became a member of the Artists’ Union of the USSR in 1970. He has been awarded the prestigeous title “Honored Artist of Russia”. He has shown his work in regional, zonal, republican, personal and international exhibitions since 1954. Some of his paintings are kept in the Tambov Regional Art Museum. Lyapin lives and works in Tambov.
