Losev Andrei Vasilievich was born in Voronezh in 1963. In 1982, he graduated from the Voronezh Art College. He also graduated from the Moscow State Academic Art Institute. He is a painter and graphic artist. He works in the genres of historical painting as well as portrait and book drawings. In 1995 he became a member of the Russian Artists Union.

He participated in regional and All-Russian exhibitions and was awarded the A.V.Koltsov Voronezh Regional Youth Prize for the series of works done for the book “Living of archpriest Abbacum”. Among his main artworks are: “Throwing up caps” (1991), “For you, cornet!” (1995 - 2003), “Benediction of consecrator Mitrofan”(1995 - 2003). Between 1994 and 2003, he participated in wall-painting in the Voronezh Pokrovski Cathedral.

He lives and works in the city of Voronezh.
