Lesov, Boris V.

Boris Lesov was born on Solovki Island in 1945. He graduated from the Serov High Art School in St. Petersburg in 1965 and in 1971 from the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture in the studio of professor Andrei Mylnikov. He became a member of the Artists’ Union of Russia in 1972.

He has exhibited his works in Russia and abroad.

Lesov works in genres of monumental and easel painting. He has been involved in paining more than forty public objects, including murals in the Chernyshevsky Museum in Saratov. Other works can be seen in St. Petersburg, Vladimir, Vladivostok, Petropavlovsk, Kamchatsky, Khabarovsk, Mumansk, Volvograd, and Moscow.

His works are also in private collections in Italy, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland, the United States, and other countries.

His works have been published in various books and journals, including:
