Liliya Georgievna Lebedeva was born in 1937 in the city of Kemerovo, Russia. She graduated from the Penza Art School, and later from the Repin Institute of Art in St. Petersburg, where she studied from 1963 until 1968. She is a member of the Artists’ Union of Russia. She was married to artist Yuri Lebedev, and their daughter is artist Anna Lebedeva. Liliya lives and works in Mankovtsky in the Vinnitsa region of the Ukraine.
