Boris Andreevich Goncharov was born in Rossosh, Voronezh Region, in 1921 as the younger brother of artist Grigori Goncharov. He studied at the Saratov Art College until 1948. He began exhibiting his works in 1950.
He lived and worked in Voronezh until his death in 1959.
