Oleg Bogomolov was born May 6, 1962 in Sverdlovsk, Russia. He was educated at the Art School of Sverdlovsk, and later at the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. He began working as a freelance artist in St. Petersburg and in London in 1991. In 1993 he became a member of the St. Petersburg chapter of the Artists’ Union of Russia. In 2004 he became a member of the Federal Organization of Professional Artists in Munich, Germany.
Important exhibitions include:
- 1991-2004: Many exhibitions in London, at the “Art Biennale”, Business Design Center, The Chelsea Art Fair, and the Affordable Art Fair, all with the Alberti Gallery, London.
- 1993-2004: Annual Exhibition at the St. Petersburg Artists’ Union of Russia.
- 1993-2005: Several exhibitions at the Alberti Gallery in Cork Street, London.
- 1993, 1995, 1997: Fifth Avenue Art Fair at the Ukrainian Institute New York with the Alberti Gallery.
- 2001: International Art Fair “Lineart”, Belgium.
- 2003, 2004: Exhibition at the “Royal Society of Portrait Painters” in London, Design of several church windows for the St. Johns Church in Seigsdorf, Germany.
- 2005: Exhibition at the “Cork Gallery”, London.
