Bogaevskaya, Olga Borisovna


Olga Borisovna Bogaevskaya was born in Moscow in 1915. She studied at the Leningrad Arts and Crafts Tekhnikum from 1931 to 1933 and then at the Institute of Painting, Sulpture and Architecture at the Repin Academy from 1934 to 1940.

Upon graduation she began exhibition, and exhibited frequently throughout her life. Her shows include the All-Union Art Exhibition in Moscow in 1947 and in 1955, as well as the Soviet Russia show in Moscow in 1960.

Ms. Bogaevskaya taught at the Leningrad Intermediate Art School from 1940 to 1945.

She was the wife of the artist Gleb Savinov, and died twenty days after his death in September of 2000.
